Working alongside people as situations evolve

Collaborative, practical support shaped around the realities people are working within.

Helping teams make better use of what they already know, learn as they go, and move forward with confidence.

People often come to me when things feel complex, messy or uncertain.

Sometimes there is plenty of evidence, insight and learning, but it feels fragmented, difficult to interpret or hard to act on. Sometimes evaluation risks becoming something done for reporting rather than something people actually use.

Often, teams are trying to learn, adapt and move forward while delivery is still unfolding. They know where they want to get to, but are less certain about what to focus on next or how to turn learning and evidence into practical action.

How I help in those situations

Whatever the context, my role is to help people make sense of what is happening, identify what matters most and move forward with greater clarity, confidence and momentum

Evidence-informed and action-focused

Grounded in evidence, focused on what helps in real-world practice.

I bring over 20 years’ experience across public services, partnerships and systems change – helping teams make sense of complexity, strengthen learning, understand and evidence the difference they are making, and contribute more effectively to the change and outcomes they are working towards.

Calm in complexity

Helping teams navigate uncertainty, competing perspectives and priorities and messy change without losing sight of what matters most.

Learning that leads somehwere

Turning learning, evidence and reflection into clearer decisions, stronger action and greater confidence about where to focus next and why.

What working together feels like

Collaborative, practical and grounded in what is useful rather than only theoretical.

I’m a big believer in working in partnership and building trusting, honest relationships. You can expect to feel challenged, supported and encouraged throughout.

The aim is not to add process or complexity, but to help people make better use of what they already know and create space for learning, reflection and action as change unfolds.
